LCSS Announces Transportation Zones for 2021-2022

Updated: Aug 8, 2021

The Lawrence County (TN) School System (LCSS) is announcing that Transportation Zones will take effect beginning in August 2020. Any parent can determine what transportation zone they reside by going to lcss.us and clicking on the Bus Map icon. There you will find a map of the entire county defined by school zones. Simply type your home address into the search bar to see which zone you reside.

Below are the guidelines for the Transportation Zones:

  • If bus transportation is needed for an ELEMENTARY student, it must be to the zoned school.

  • If bus transportation is needed for a LAWRENCE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL student, the student can live in any zone except for the Summertown and South Lawrence School Districts.

  • If bus transportation is needed for a LORETTO HIGH SCHOOL student, the student must live in the South Lawrence or Leoma School District.

  • If bus transportation is needed for a SUMMERTOWN HIGH SCHOOL student, the student must live in the Summertown or Ethridge School District.

  • If bus transportation is needed for an E.O. COFFMAN student, the student must live in the Ingram Sowell, Lawrenceburg Public, or David Crockett Elementary School District.

  • If you are currently being transported by bus and your zone is impacted, you can still attend the out-of-zone school, but you will need to provide transportation.

  • Out-of-zone elementary students CANNOT be dropped off to an in zoned address to catch a bus to school of choice. If you choose to take your students out-of-zone, they MUST be dropped off at a school.

For more information or questions regarding your child’s bus transportation, go to lcss.us or call the LCSS Bus Garage at (931) 762-5541.
